Adequate but not perfect. Good app to have
Thanks
Great help!
Absolutely love this app!! Comes in very handy with when Im looking for a diagnose code!
Easily the most complete, intuitive ICD-9 code finding app Ive tried. Definitely worth buying. Ive tried and abandoned several different apps for being just too hard to use, or beyond useless. I have, and will, continue to recommend this app.
Great app. Each system broken down for easy find!
It sure beats lugging the book around. You do have to be an experienced coder I think to find everything. Or I could not find the Index if it is there. But I like it a lot. Will it be updated for ICD10, I hope???????
Easy to use and understand, this app helps me daily to quickly code my patient charts. I like the stoplight coloring, so far the red and green dots correspond perfectly to the other sources were using to cross check for Medicare-covered ICD-9 codes.
Very friendly tool, always yields the expected support. A true gift to the busy provider. Thank You!
Rip off. No word search
Using the ICD-9 app is waaaaaay better than using the rediculously time-wasting ICD-9 code book. The ICD-coding should never have been implemented until a computer with an app like this could do the searching through such a burdensome maze of terms and deciding which word the number is under. An added advantage is the flags which give the likelihood that an insurance company will pay attention to it, anyway!
Great Application, Quick Refrence
My new office EHR system requires very specific input. This app uses looser definitions, therefore making it much easier to find the most appropriate coding for the specific problem. Very useful!
It is not user friendly and it should allow to type in a diagnosis and list the possible options instead to go over and look through the different systems
I downloaded this hoping it would be set up like the book but just quicker and easier to use on my iPad. However its only ok for a quick reference. But if your trying to look up main terms and see what subterms are under that you cant. And doesnt have notes such as "code first" etc. If you want app version set up like the book dont get this.
I use this App almost daily in my NP program . It is very helpful and easy to navigate.
I have used three different EMRs and even the best has limited lexicon of diagnostic codes so several times a day finding the code turns into a game of Twenty Questions with a petulant uncreative inflexible force - or Forty Questions or Fifty Questions. If you dont guess the very unpredictable way to describe, say, HIP PAIN (my own first choice isnt generally "Joint pain, pelvis") it is easy to get stuck unable to request the lab or X-ray needed to evaluate the patient. I reach for this app many, many times every day!
I am a medical coder and nurse and this is the only app on iTunes that Ive seen that actually works like a true code book. I use this app at work and it has served me well.
I have tried a couple other coding apps as well as a few online coding sites and this app is the most efficient and reliable coding finder that I have used.I like this app because you can enter the disease process/ diagnosis and it will figure out what the coding for it is. This way, the ICD code is the most specific to what you are looking for. In the past if I couldnt find the appropriate code, I would put a very generalized code (i.e. "disease process", unspecified; or NOS). The app periodically updates it self, so the program is continuously improving.
Worth a buck. Update: After using this for the last 2-years I have to say one of the most helpful medical aps I have ever used.
